What affects your offer
How we work out a buyback quote.
Every offer is based on the exact device in front of us and what it is currently worth on the Australian second-hand market. The more accurate the details you send, the closer your quote will be to the final offer after inspection.
- Model and storage. Newer models and higher storage generally hold more value.
- Cosmetic condition. Scratches, dents and cracked glass on the screen or back all affect the price.
- Battery health. On iPhone, check Settings > Battery > Battery Health and include the percentage.
- Faults. Tell us about anything that does not work, such as Face ID, cameras, charging, speakers or buttons.
- Ownership. The device must be yours, fully paid off and not reported lost or stolen.
- Extras. The original box or accessories can help, but they are not required.
Phones, tablets and laptops

We regularly quote on Apple iPhones, iPads, MacBooks and iMacs, Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets, and Google Pixel phones. Older or damaged devices can still be worth something, especially if they can be repaired and refurbished, so it is worth asking even if a screen is cracked or the battery is worn.
If you are upgrading, selling your old phone locally can be a simple alternative to a store trade-in. You deal directly with a Sunshine Coast team and payment is arranged once the device has been checked.
Before you hand it over

- Back up your photos, messages and files to iCloud, Google or a computer.
- Sign out of your Apple ID and turn off Find My, or remove your Google account on Android.
- Remove your SIM card and delete any eSIM.
- Erase the device (factory reset) once your backup is confirmed.

Questions before you sell?
Is the Express Post label really free?+
Yes. Once you accept an online offer, we email you a prepaid Express Post label. Drop the parcel into any Express Post box or post office. You do not pay anything.
How do I pack my phone?+
Wrap it in bubble wrap or put it in its original box, then use a padded envelope or small box. Send the phone only. Keep cases, chargers and SIM cards.
What if my phone is not as I described?+
We send you a revised offer with the reason. You can accept it, or decline and we post the phone back to you free. We never pay a revised price without your agreement.
When do I get paid?+
Within 1 to 2 business days of your phone passing inspection, by PayID or bank transfer. If you drop it off in Maroochydore, we can usually pay you on the spot.
Do I need to remove iCloud?+
Yes. Sign out of iCloud, turn off Find My and erase the phone before you send it. We cannot buy a phone that is still locked to an account.
Do you buy broken phones?+
Yes. Cracked screens, cracked back glass, weak batteries and phones that will not turn on all still get an offer. Pick the faults in the quote and the price adjusts.
Do I need ID?+
Yes. Queensland law requires second-hand dealers to record who they buy from. We check photo ID when you drop off, or ask for it before paying for a posted phone.
How long is my offer valid?+
14 days from when you accept it. Prices follow the market, so a new quote later may be different.
