A console with no picture, no power, constant overheating or a drive that will not read discs can have several causes, from a damaged HDMI port or failed power supply to dust build-up or a worn drive. We start with the symptoms, check the console and explain the practical options and price before repair work begins.

Repair options

Console repairs for the most common faults.

Tell us what the console is doing, when it started and whether it was dropped, moved or exposed to liquid. That helps us diagnose the fault faster.

PS5 and Xbox HDMI port repair

No signal, flickering or a loose HDMI cable is often a damaged port. We inspect the port and the board around it before recommending a replacement.

No power or turns off

Consoles that will not start, beep and shut down, or switch off mid-game can have power supply, overheating or board faults. We diagnose the cause before quoting.

Overheating and loud fans

Dust build-up and dried thermal paste cause heat and noise. A clean and thermal service can restore cooling where the hardware is otherwise healthy.

Disc drive problems

Discs that will not read, eject or load are checked to see whether the drive needs cleaning, a part or replacement.

Controller and Joy-Con drift

Stick drift, sticky buttons and charging faults on DualSense, Xbox controllers and Joy-Cons can often be repaired rather than replaced.

Nintendo Switch screens, charging and cards

Cracked screens, charging ports and game card readers on the Switch, Switch OLED and Switch Lite are assessed and quoted before work begins.
