What quality parts do you use?
For many repairs, we can offer a choice of parts based on your device, the repair needed and current availability. Options may include OEM and aftermarket parts. We will explain the available options and the price difference before work begins, so you can choose the solution that suits your device and budget.
Do your replacement parts come with a warranty?
Yes. OEM and aftermarket replacement parts supplied for eligible repairs come with a 12-month warranty. The warranty applies to the replacement part and the repair performed; it does not cover new accidental damage, liquid damage or unrelated faults. If you have a question about coverage, contact us and we will review the repair details with you.
How long does a phone repair take?
Most common phone parts are kept in stock, so many phone repairs can usually be completed on the same day. If a required part is not in stock, overnight shipping is often available. Where the part arrives as expected, we can usually fit it the following day. We will confirm the expected timeframe once we have identified the fault and checked part availability.
Do I need an appointment?
Please call ahead before visiting so we can confirm availability, discuss your device and prepare for your assessment. You can contact Essential Tech Repairs on 0414 224 576 or use our contact page.
Will I receive a quote before the repair starts?
Yes. We assess the issue, explain the recommended repair and provide an upfront quote before proceeding. If the assessment identifies additional work that was not apparent at first, we will discuss the options with you before continuing.
Can you repair water-damaged devices?
Water damage should be assessed as soon as possible. Turn the device off, avoid charging it and bring it in for an assessment. The outcome depends on the extent of the damage and corrosion inside the device, so we will explain the options after inspection.
What should I do about my data and passcode?
Back up your device where possible before any repair. Some diagnostics or repairs may require access to the device, so please let us know if there are privacy or access considerations. We will discuss what is needed before work begins.
What devices can you help with?
We assist with a range of phones, tablets, Macs, computers and laptops. Visit our mobile phone repairs, tablet repairs and Mac repairs pages for more detail, or contact us about your specific model and fault.
Do you buy broken devices?
We may be able to buy selected broken devices. Tell us the make, model, condition and fault, and we can advise whether it is suitable for assessment. See our sell your old devices page for more information.
